Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (also known as Sherlock Holmes 2) is directed by Guy Ritchie and produced by Joel Silver, Lionel Wigram, Susan Downey and Dan Lin. It is a sequel to the 2009 film Sherlock Holmes based on the character of the same name created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The screenplay is by Kieran Mulroney and Michele Mulroney. Robert Downey, Jr. and Jude Law reprise their roles as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson, respectively, as the duo join forces to outwit and bring down their most cunning adversary, Professor Moriarty.

Sherlock Holmes has always been the smartest man in the room... until now. When the Crown Prince of Austria is found dead, the evidence, as construed by Inspector Lestrade (Eddie Marsan), points to suicide. But Sherlock Holmes deduces that the prince has been the victim of murder a murder that is only one piece of a larger and much more portentous puzzle, designed by one Professor Moriarty.

Mixing business with pleasure, Holmes tracks the clues to an underground gentlemen's club, where he and his brother, Mycroft Holmes (Stephen Fry) are toasting Dr. Watson on his last night of bachelorhood. It is there that Holmes encounters Sim (Noomi Rapace), a Gypsy fortune teller, who sees more than she is telling and whose unwitting involvement in the prince's murder makes her the killer's next target. Holmes barely manages to save her life and, in return, she reluctantly agrees to help him.

The investigation becomes ever more dangerous as it leads Holmes, Watson and Sim across the continent, from England to France to Germany and finally to Switzerland. But the cunning Moriarty is always one step ahead as he spins a web of death and destruction all part of a greater plan that, if he succeeds, will change the course of history.

The Smurfs

The Smurfs film based on The Smurfs comic books created by Peyo and the 1980s animated TV series. It is directed by Raja Gosnell, Produced by Jordan Kerner and stars Neil Patrick Harris, Jonathan Winters, Hank Azaria, Jayma Mays, and Sofía Vergara. Release date is July 29, 2011.

Filming began on March 26, 2010 in New York. In the Middle Ages, the evil wizard Gargamel (Hank Azaria) discovers the tiny blue Smurfs' village and chases them into a wooded area. The Smurfs get scattered and Clumsy Smurf (voiced by Anton Yelchin) wanders into a "forbidden" grotto and some of the other Smurfs follow. Since it's also a blue moon, a magical portal within the grotto transports them into present-day Central Park in New York. They take shelter with married couple Patrick and Grace Winslow (Neil Patrick Harris and Jayma Mays) and try to find a way back to their village before Gargamel finds them.

The Smurfs, then, spools along without drama with enough noise and neon.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes

Rise of the Planet of the Apes (originally titled Caesar and Rise of the Apes) is directed by Rupert Wyatt and produced by Amanda Silver, Rick Jaffa, Peter Chernin and Dylan Clark. It stars James Franco, Andy Serkis and Freida Pinto.

An origin story set in present day San Francisco, where man's own experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes. Will Rodman (James Franco), currently residing in San Francisco, is working on a cure for Alzheimer's by performing tests on apes. The first test subject is Caesar (Andy Serkis), whose parents had been captured in Africa. Rodman's "cure" genetically modifies Caesar's way of thinking to create a new breed of ape with human-like intelligence. Caesar learns well, but human authority continues to test him and contain him. In response to abuse from visitors, he eventually proves smart enough to break free from his cage and release the cure among other apes, who have increased intelligence similar to Caesar's. Millions of apes begin to foment revolution. Soon, war breaks out between humans and apes. Rodman may be the only one able to stop them before the ape revolution ends with them becoming the dominant species on the planet.

The film establishes the superiority of Gandhism over Nazism, thereby giving the message of world peace.

Singham(2011)

Singham(2011) is an action film directed by Rohit Shetty starring Ajay Devgn and Kajal Aggarwal, Prakash Raj, and Ashok Saraf in lead roles. The film is a remake of the successful 2010 Tamil film of the Singam(2010) directed by Hari and featuring Suriya in the lead role  was a big hit. Which was an action filled cop story.

When Kavya (Kaajal Aggarwal) comes to Shivgad, from Goa to visit her grandparents on a vacation she is charmed by Bajirao's bold and courageous demeanor.


Everything goes well for Singham until there is a clash with a goon that eventually escalates into a full blown fight. Singham eventually gets promoted & is transferred to Goa which also happens to be the operational hub of the goon.


While this move brings Singham closer to Kavya, it also brings him in the clutches of the very same goon who is on a mission to destroy him.

Prince William and Kate(Catherine) go 'under the radar' to focus on married life

Prince William and his wife Catherine will go "under the radar" for the rest of the year, keeping a low profile after their stellar tour of North America, royal officials say.

They will take a break from royal duties for the rest of the summer and do no more than one or two engagements a month in the autumn and winter. It was said that they wanted to avoid taking attention away from the Queen and Prince of Wales in the runup to the Queen's diamond jubilee next summer.

But other reasons were also given. William, 29, hopes to be promoted by earning his captaincy in the RAF search and rescue force early next year and has to complete extra hours flying and studying to progress from being a co-pilot to taking charge of his own Sea King helicopter.

The couple want to settle into their marriage after a busy period since their wedding in April, during which they have fulfilled official engagements at home and undertaken a strenuous overseas tour. They are based in Anglesey, where the duke is undertaking air sea rescue duties. It was said the couple hoped to emulate the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh who, early in their married life, were based for a short period in Malta because of Prince Philip's naval career.

The spokesman said the duchess had a busy schedule of meetings with charity representatives to allow her to understand the work of her husband's patronages and to decide which causes she wishes to support.

Julian Assange fights extradition

London:  A Swedish legal expert said on Tuesday there were serious irregularities in the way prosecutors built their sex crimes case against WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.

WIKILEAKS chief Julian Assange should not be extradited to Sweden over sex charges as what he did is not illegal in Britain, his lawyers said yesterday.

His legal team told the High Court that the four rape and molestation accusations would be classed as consensual here.

The London court heard that one woman, identified only as SW, said she woke to find he was having unprotected sex with her.

Assange, 40, is also accused of molestation after being “rough and impatient” during sex with another woman. She says he tried to have unprotected sex and raped her while she was half-asleep.

Australian Assange met the women, volunteers for his whistleblowing website, on a lecture tour in Sweden last year.

He was in court after losing an extradition order appeal in February. The case continues.

Delhi Belly (2011)

The film revolves around three roommates, Tashi Malhotra (Imran Khan), Nitin Berry (Kunaal Roy Kapur) and Arup (Vir Das) leading an unkempt and debt-ridden life. Tashi's girlfriend Sonia (Shenaz Treasurywala) agrees to deliver a package for Vladimir Dragunsky (Kim Bodnia). Sonia then asks Tashi to deliver the package. Tashi,in turn, asks Nitin to do so. But Nitin is unable to do so as he is experiencing 'Delhi Belly'. The Package keeps floating around and is finally handed to the recipient, a gangster named Somayajulu (Vijay Raaz) by Arup. Apart from the package, Arup also has to deliver another package which contains Nitin's stool sample to Nitin's Doctor. He mixes up the two which makes Somayajulu furious and he starts the investigation by interrogating Vladimir. Meanwhile Nitin manages to photograph his landlord with a prostitute.So he sends a parcel to his landlord which contains a copy of the photograph.Sonia is on the brink of an orgasm with Tashi when his co-journalist Menaka (Poorna Jagannathan) calls him for an important work.When he reaches the place he realizes that it is just a party and Menaka had called him just to have fun.
