War Horse is film directed by Steven Spielberg. It is based on both War Horse, a children's novel set before and during World War I, by British author Michael Morpurgo. The Movie stars Jeremy Irvine as Albert Narracott, David Thewlis as Lyons, Benedict Cumberbatch, Emily Watson as Rose Narracott, Peter Mullan as Ted Narracott, Eddie Marsan, Toby Kebbell and Tom Hiddleston.

War Horse begins with the remarkable friendship between a horse named Joey and a young man called Albert  Narracott(Jeremy Irvine), who tames and trains him the two becoming inseparable. When his harvest fails the farmer has to sell Joey to the British cavalry. When they are forcefully parted, the film follows the extraordinary journey of the horse as he moves through the war, changing and inspiring the lives of all those he meets-British cavalry, German soldiers, and a French farmer and his granddaughter-before the story reaches its emotional climax in the heart of No Man's Land where Albert rides Joey back to his family's farm, hugs his parents, and returns the pennant to his father.. The First World War is experienced through the journey of this horse an odyssey of joy and sorrow, passionate friendship and high adventure.
